I currently work in a small private practice outpatient clinic. We currently use Systems4PT software for our documentation and billing. Does anyone else use this software company? I would appreciate any input regarding this software. Thank you.

Hello Splithorizon,

Thank you for the info, we presently have the program and had wondered who else out there is using this program. I find it weak as well. I have used Source Medical's software program and had found that more user friendly.

I am in the process of starting up a small private outpatient physical therpay practice. I am considering options for various billing options. I don't have specific experience with any companies but am interested in your post. I have looked into Redoc, and clinicient billing and documentation software. I plan on starting small and basic hoping to be able to manage the billing on my own at first. Any feedback would be appreciated.

We looked at the S4PT but the fact that is was brand new scared us. We use the PT Advantage and really like it. Does scheduling, billing and Documentation. We have suggested to a few offices and they have been happy as well. May be worth a look. www.advantagesoftware.com

My facility has been using S4PT for over 2 1/2 years. Not sure that those critiquing the system have actual user experience or have even seen a demo. I researched several systems and had used 2 different systems prior to this one. We decided on this system as it was the only one fully integrated from first patient phone call until zero blance on the patient account. The company has been very response to our concerns and able to program changes based upon ever changing environment. For example: they had started reprogramming for Medicare KX as soon as it was known an exception process would be put in place--it was ready before Medicare was ready to handle the electronic input. I am happy to speak to any PT seriously looking at electronic systems.

I own a practice that has used Systems4PT since May and we have been happy with our experience, the system is comprehensive and continues to improve with each update with no increase in cost. Documentation is good, a little faster, readability is much better and I am not sacrificing clinic space for chart storage. The front desk is twice as efficient and has taken on many tasks that used to tie up billing. In fact the improvement in front desk efficiency has resulted in enough increased billable visits to pay for the system in 5 months without cutting into profits. Compliance has clearly improved. I am collecting more than with our prior system, and getting paid sooner thanks to the increased electronic billing options. Systems4PT has saved enough time to enable my billing staff to potentially bill and collect for an additional locations, where as before Systems4 they were maxed. This has been a big difference. Regarding reliability we have not had a system crash since it was installed in our clinic. I can’t say that about the basic server with top of the line virus protection that we had prior to the installation of Systems4PT in our clinic.
Anyone who would like to speak with a Systems4PT user, first hand, is welcome to give me a call. I’ve owned my practice for 5 years, have been the President of the Florida East Central District of the APTA, own 3 practice locations and continue to consult for many Physical Therapy practices.
