Chiros in general are unlikely to abandon the subluxation/manipulation model as it is the means to profitability for a busy practice. Patient care requiring less than five minutes of a manipulators time, is clearly better for the bank balance, than a 30 minute plus engagement with the intention and the means to clinical redundancy. While the general public continues to be confused and mislead by chiros about this model, and the value of pulling joints apart, this model and the profiteers will remain.

UTDC,
Thanks,
I'll take a look at that. It's late (for me), and an attempted read of the article made me realize that.

That was much easier to get through this AM. I now understand the lack of response I got from some questions I asked long ago about defining chiropractic. I hadn't realized, being outside the profession, that it was such an internal problem. I think some points made in that article are transferable to PT also. Thanks for the link.

I found this yesterday and felt that it belonged in this thread since we already have two links discussing theory and hypotheses. What do you think?

As long as I'm posting articles about hypothesis and science in general, here's one more from www.edge.org called "Is science driven by inspired guesswork?".
