Does anyone have any information/opinions about this university?

http://www.southuniversity.edu/campus/index.asp

Seems like a non-traditional school that offers many of its classes during the evenings.  It also appears to be one of the only PTA programs I've seen that accepts students on a rolling basis.  The quarter system also allows for faster graduation.  But as a private college, the cost of the program is much steeper than the average.  The board passage rates are impressive, and it is APTA accredited.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

shutterspeed,

Last year I inquired re South U's PTA program. You already know they are very pricey.
Their clinicals are during the day so you lose the benefit of night classes if your intent is to hold a day job.

     1st clinical: 60hr
     2nd clinical: 40hr/wk for 6 weeks (240hrs)
     last clinical: 40hr/wk for 9 weeks (360hrs)

I think this info came from Dr. Ken Amsler (561-697-9200 ext 7229).

Have you looked into Broward Community College?

Good luck,
David

It looks like the tuition runs about $20-25k for the entire program.  Admissions seem less stringent than most programs.  Is the cost of this program a reasonable investment for the PTA field?
