Hello all.....
I was wondering what the current starting salaries are for PTs coming out of school. I want to know for all areas of Pt, but especially for the orthopedic side of PT.
APTA has not done a survey on it since 2003 and as we all know, the salaries have changed since then.
Thank you.

Hello, You may want to look for this info in the ADVANCE for PTs and PTA website @: http://www.advanceforpt.com
I think they may have an article or two about salaries. You many have to search their archives for it though.

Try the website Salary.com. They will give you a rough figure for free based on education, location, and experience. I paid for the "custom" salary report and didn't feel it gave me that much more information. Good luck.

From my observation, a lot depends on location and job. Small towns, and jobs that are hard to fill often pay much more. I know where I live in South Texas the pay is considerably more than what I hear others getting.
