Pain in Parkinson's usually arise from one of the following causes:
(1) a musculoskeletal problem related to poor posture, mechanical function or physical wear and tear
(2) nerve or root pain, often related to neck or back arthritis
(3) pain from dystonia
(4) discomfort due to restlessness
(5) "central" pain, arising from the brain

The patient's ...rheumatologist insists she should try a series of injections to relieve him of knee pain.
My opinion is that it will only provide temporary relief if any relief. Temporary in my mind is a week after the last injection.
The patient experiences pain due to 4 or all 5 of the previous causes (kyphosis, mild to medium dystonia, restlessness, early signs of degen arthritis in hip, knee).

Do you think i should advise him to try the injections? Doe anyone believe that they can benefit him more than a week?
