The hospital  I work for is expanding our NICU and has started to provide care for preterm infants >24 weeks gestation.  The Neonatologists want PT and OT services to be included in the NICU program. We have a lot of support in developing this program including con ed courses, funding, etc. However we are needing some peer input on evaluation forms and tools. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Molly,

I'm glad you are getting involved with this.  Try the APTA Pediatric Section website.  Lots of good resources.  There is a neonatology special interest group, and the section has developed competencies for those practicing in this area.

Good Luck!
