Can anyone suggest some good PT schools in PA particularly, but anywhere for suggestion would be great. Thanks.

Here is the website of schools in PA offering PT programs, although I'm not sure which ones are well known. Hope this helps though.

It seems like the university of Pittsburg has a really good program. At the very least, they do a lot of great research and really push EBP.

I worked with a graduate of Slippery Rock who was an outstanding neuro therapist...a real credit to the profession. I believe Jan Richardson, a very recognizable national PT name (from the American Physical Therapy Association-APTA) used to be the lead person of that program...and it was nationally recognized because of its' promotion of the Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

Jenni,
Before I went to PT school I knew that I had an interest in orthopaedics. This then drove my decision on where to apply. I looked at schools where ortho seemed to be emphasized more and did not consider any specific location for school. My understanding is that some schools are more neurorehab focused or more acute care focused. I ended up going to the U.S. Army-Baylor University in San Antonio, TX and currently serve in the Army as a physical therapist. I also agree with Mcap on the University of Pittsburgh. Good luck in your decision.
