In order to be considered a Rehab the 3 hr rule is applied(an hour PT,OT&ST).My question is with all the changes in reimbursement,What role does PPS have on Rehabs?

PPS is not yet in effect on Rehab units...it will be next year. Not much news has come my way other than reimbursement will be based on discharhes and there will be a need for an MDS person. I personally cannot beleieve it will be this easy...lol. Also... the "3 Hour Rule" referes to PT and OT services, ST is provided but not included in that 3 hour requirement.

I apologize for the misspellings... it's either a defective keyboard (MY guess)or I should have waited until 9 AM when the coffee was ready... :-)
