Does anyone know of that webpage where you can see if you've passed the test or not? I heard that it does not directly tell you if you've passed, but instead it shows those individuals that are liscenced. I've searched around the npte website, but I can't find anything...

One person who I work with who passed it recently looked at the website where they registered for the test. I believe that is the following website; www.fsbpt.net. I think he checked his status or something to that effect and found out that way, the same day he took the test.

the npte website will not release your score. You have to be notified by your state licensing agency. It states that in the instructions for the exam.

According to the person I asked, they saw that their scores were being forwarded to their jurisdiction and within a week, they saw their name on the http://www.op.nysed.gov website. Even if the status isn't clear, I have heard stories from former collegues who waited weeks to find out by mail whether they passed the exam or not.

In Indiana you can check the state licensing agency website and search for your name to see if you have a license number. Typically this will be poster within 24-48 hours after taking the exam and is faster then waiting for the letter in the mail.

In Texas depending on the circumstances, they may give you the results as soon as 2 days after taking the test, over the phone.
Again this on a case by case basis, and i feel the 1-2 weeks is the norm for Texas.
If you have an urgent situation such as a job that has been holding a slot for you and can no longer wait, can perhaps be an exception to the rule.
