Any opinions on going throught certification with either of these outfits?  I'd like to do one or the other and would appreciate any feed back.

Thanks.

I'd say naiomt is a harder cert.  I'd say both of them will show your committment to manual therapy.  Neither of them will be recognized by 99% of the public and 99% of the docs. So go with whch philosophy you agree more with or have had more success with, or just go to a bunch of both of their courses and forget dishingout the cash for the actual certification.

Seems sensible.  Do you have experience with either treatment approach, i.e Canadian based vs. Maitland based manual therapy?

yes, more so on the canadian side, but i own 2 books by maitland and have attented 2 courses.  I  use both techniques, think the canadians make it more difficult than it needs to be, overall I think the naiomt is more research based, but overall I'd say if you took a whole lot of maitland you'd be a good practitioner.  I have kind of done a whole bunch of courses, I can honestly recommend as far as pure clinical application to do the FOMT certification if you are going to do any, followed by IAOM cert.  Then those after that, then paris..

go with whatever intrigues you and you feel passionate about. If that doesnt help then go with the one where you feel like you belong to a good fellowship/gang cause afterall most people do it to feel like they belong in a fellowship of people that relate to each other in a special way...hmm the Paris crips and the Ola Grimsby bloods...etc etc

yarringtonpt, infidel is referring to the secular groups who choose to treat this way or that way only. Stanley Paris has it his way and that's that. Pretty much the same with Ola. I agree with FLAOrthoPT, take a few of each and then choose which one you like best. You'll easily see what you agree with and what techniques work for you. I am an overly indebted, educational product of Paris but hardly a Parisite! Also, take a few Mulligan courses as well.
