I am looking at rehabbing my first meniscal replacement. This is a new one obviously and du eto the complexity of the surgery my approach is a conservative one.
Has anyone out there seen this sort of surgery or rehabbed it and any advice would be appreciated

Sorry I had planned on and as it turns out the surgeon agrees that the first month would be very cautious with SLR etc hip clams...
Weeks 4-6 I was going to introduce bike some calfs shuttle as tolerated etc but to overload thejoint. Some TM walkingetc
Weeks 6-8 would increase intensity and by the 8th week I was going to start with some squatting body weight and progress.
My goals were to see increases in ROM, decreased swelling etc
Any advice as to changes or different ideas would be great

This is a relatively new area. I have been reviewing some of the literature and going slow seems to be the standard approach. I am a candidate for this type of procedure and would like to know how it turns out. Thanks for the information.

I have been using a slow approach with very little rotation and have been trying to get extension and flexion first with my lady. She is type A and I am trying to hold her back a little. We have done the general hip clams, calves and core exercises, added treadmill walking the other day and some weight bearing balance exercises. She is also 2 months post replacement and was told by surgeon to take the weight bear extremely slow untill the last 2 weeks. So far so good. Still looking for some protocols or any info out there
