Does anybody know of a company or person that repairs these outside of Sammons Preston?  I once received a post card in the mail talking about repair for $99.   Unfortunatly, I lost the card.

Any experience?

Thanks

Hi VagusX,
I have a Rolodex card in my Dyno case but it is the procedure for Sammons preston.

It states:
"For service or re-calibration:
1.  Call 800-323-5547
2.  Ask for a Repair Authorization Number (RA Number) & Form
3.  Write RA number on box label and put form inside box with your name, telephone number and what you wish performed.
4.  Please ship to the following address:  Sammons Preston, 452 N. Sangamon, Chicago, IL 60622."

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the effort Dan

I'm looking for a quicker turn around and hopefully less expensive route.  SP charges $139 and they are only the middleman.  I would like to deal directly with somebody.

Are you looking to repair or calibrate?

ortho

One needs recalibratiion because it is at least 30-40 pounds off, and the other one needs repair because it won't even give a reading.

I have talked to a guy over the phone that does repair for these units.  He was an ex-employee of JAMAR, and for the life of me I can't find him.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.  I have never had to get one repaired before so I am surprised to see what they charge.
