Hi there. It is my first time to encounter a pt with implantable bone stimulator in the low back and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what precautions I need to take or any rehab protocol I need to follow. What modalities are contraindicated? What strengthening/stretching exercises are safe to teach? Thanks much for your time!

I have seen a few of these and the general precautions I have followed are no US or EStim. Heat and cold are superficial so should not be an issue. From an exercises view, follow the surgeons protocol. If you don't have that call his office or another PT dept that he refers to.
