I have a Kinesiologist working for me looking to become a PT. He has his BS in Kinesiology, but has not completed his Chemistry Prerequisites. His GPA was 3.6 or better and his motivation and work experience are worth gold. I think PT is perfect for him and he is motivated to get it. Does anyone know of any grad programs in the United States that would look beyond the lacking chemistry and take into account his professional accomplishments?
Thanks

Hello,
The only way that I know of that your co-worker could get around the chemistry requirement is to take a CLEP examination. This is an examination that a department gives out so that one can get credit for the course without actually taking it. Of course, this would mean that your co-worker would have to know or review chemistry on his/her own in order to pass it. Many if not all of graduate PT programs require some form of chemistry, whether it be a semester or a full year. It depends on the school you are interested in. But if your co-worker can review chemistry and pass the exam, then no course would have to be taken, at least from what I have seen. Hope this helps.
