What ICD9 do you all use for a traumatic Rot cuff tear? Looking for one that meets the Medicare criteria of an automatic exception to the therapy cap. The way I read their bulletin, it appears that a non traumatic tear is an automatic exception but there is no code for a traumatic tear listed.

CERTAIN TRAUMATIC COMPLICATIONS AND UNSPECIFIED INJURIES (958-959)

959.2 Shoulder and upper arm
Axilla
Scapular region

I didn't find anything specific for a rotator cuff tear, except for what you already mentioned. See if this works. Just a guess though.
