A lot of posts have asked about TMR and much has been said and written about it.  I would like to give those who are skeptics a chance to try it out live via a FREE webinar.  If you are one of those skeptics who have posted about TMR in the past and are willing to give it a try, I would love to have you be part of the webinar.
I am providing 14 skeptics a chance to meet with me live via a webinar to see if Total Motion Release will work for them.  Here are the requirements:
1.  You need to be a skeptic about TMR
2.  Have a webcam
3.  Willing to be filmed, so that this webinar can be seen by others
4.  Able to bring 1 or 2 patients with you to the webinar, who also are ok being filmed (this is optional, but will provide a better experience as to the TMR experience)

The webinar will be this Thursday Evening (July 10th) at 7pm (eastern standard time).

Email me at totalmotionrelease@ncrrbiz.com and tell me why you qualify as a skeptic.  The more skeptic the better.  In fact, forward this to the most skeptic therapist you know and have him/her join us.  If you are chosen I will send you a link to the webinar and more information.

Tom:

Both myself and my co-workers get enough spam from you.  It is my understanding that the purpose of this forum is to educate, not sell products.

Perhaps you could post this in the "Conferences, Symposiums, and Special events" thread.

Umm...not that I could make this to begin with, but you give us two days notice to gather up two willing patients for this event.  C'mon Tom.  Why not just publish your data in a peer-reviewed journal THEN host the webinar?

As a skeptic, I need other evidence rather than show-and-tell-and-practice.
I'm with Rod.

I don't know bill. You mean PTHER? Are you bill from there?!? If so - how the heck are you?

Reason I am not trying this free webinar? I have heard the "theory" behind the TMR (from Tom's own pen here) and it just does not fly as a discrete and specific approach. The explanation we got was extremely loosey-goosey without any real idea what the heck might be going on with the patient under TMR treatment; also, he made comaprisons with CST and other bogus treatment approaches - not exactly a way to entice me to pay more attention.
This is what I said to him:

quote:

Tom , you need to consider FIRST what actually is happening in the human you are performing TMR on. You need to have a working hypothesis that utilizes present knowledge of neurophysiology, neuroanatomy and such. It has to be plausible, should NOT require a "completely new" concept in therapy (it never ends up being "new"). My bet is that you will find it is just another way to engage a human nervous system and its attached brain and expectations. Nice, but not necessarily a reason to get a course for me...

Hey Sebastian! Yes I am the bill from there. I understand your reasoning. But hey he's offering it free...that is except for your time that is...no pain involved!

I actually have been following his site for about a year. Impressive little videos got me to try "bastardized" versions of what he does and lo and behold I get results. When your jaw drops open as much as the patient in front of you...well you tend to want to look into it further.

By the way a freind of mine passed on Toms Challenge to me...yep he thought I was the most skeptical PT around...

As Arnold said "I'll be back."

Good to see you here bill!
I "get" your motivation on this - I just feel I need more motivation to spend my time than "hey, it works".

BTW - I LOVE my typo: "comaprisons" instead of comparisons. A very good word for CST-type woo-woo....

The "comaprison" is very interesting and may end up being a new course given out by the Woox2!

I understand how you feel about the "hey it works" thing but Mckenzie built a big practice off of the same thing...and of course nothing works allthetime on allthepeople.

Besides what could you hurt?? You're exercising and you are exercising the "good" side.

Good to see some of the "old" PTs are still around.

Exactly right bill. McKenzie did. And so did Mulligan, Cyriax etc etc. Although they at least had a working hypothesis... Still not gonna waste my time on stuff that is just another way to connect with the patient - their peripheral nervous system, brain, and cognitive processes. Already doing that.

Barrett is over at SomaSimple - I just do not remember who else was on PTHER......(well, I do - but those 2 have disappeared: one into the "wellness-spa world, and one into the UK, and neither on the 'net)

Bonez, not sure I would use the word "refreshing" ...but yes, we certainly have our share.

From my point of view (looking up from under the compost) it is refreshing.
