I was just typing a report, and was about to type past medical history......and thought about it... if it's history, it's the past! Why do we always say PMH...??? another oxymoron for ya... [IMG]http://www.rehabedge.com/forums/smile.gif[/IMG]

Could PMH also refer to "Pertinent Medical History"?

I've always used PMH as past medical history, a few highlights of operations, chronic illnesses, etc.

That's in contrast to the History of Present Condition.

Anyone else distinguish the terms this way?
