Anyone out there faxing out info (ie. Research updates in physical therapy, press releases, etc) to Dr's or other referral sources?

If so, what has been the response?

I have faxed introduction letters and questionnaires regarding MD preferences on receiving referrals/new patients and have gotten good response (MDs need to know that we can refer to them also!). It's important to include check boxes at the bottom to see how the MD would like you to follow up (ie. send referral pads, call my office to set up mtg, etc) then make sure you follow up! Also make sure you refer a patient to them soon after to begin a recipricol relationship. They check their faxes a lot more than they read their mail. Good luck.
