I have a pt. I'm treating for plantar fasciitis, which resolved over the past few weeks with taping, ex, and STM.  However, she appears to have some sort of nodule in the FDL tendon, which is located inferior and about 1/2" anterior to the sustenaculum of the calcaneus.  It is about the size of a pea and quite painful for her.

Has anyone seen one of these before?  Any treatment ideas, or is surgical excision the only option?
