Can anyone out there share what they are seeing surgeons use as dressings immediately after a total knee? At the hospital where I work the surgeons use a very bulky Jones drsg- lots of batting and ACE wrap. This is really inhibiting pt's from getting their flexion back. Sometimes we're unable to get the CPM set higher than 0-40 because the drsg is so big. We've spoken to the surgeons and they're willing to make a change if we can come up with an alternative which will be somewhat compressive and less cumbersome. Thanks for any input!
