I am a PTA student in Pensacola, FL and have been searching for an Acute Care setting in NY or NJ around the Rockland County area. I have tried many different Hospitals a lot of which are either full or the contracts take too long. I have to get a site in to my clinical Coordinator by the 15th of December and I have been looking for the past month. Does anyone have any suggestions or possible contacts that I could possibly reach.

I will forward this recommendation on to my program director. Our PTA program just closed so there may be some possible sites in Westchester.

You can try the following sites:

Nyack Hospital, Burke, Helen Hayes. Dobbs Ferry Hospital In Northern Jersey - really close to Rockland is Pascack Valley in Westwood and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood

I don't see how you will be able to set up a contract on short notice however, unless your school has one set up already. Sometimes the paperwork can take a year.

Yeah I have tried all of those except Burke. I will try Burke. I thank you again for getting back to me. I have until Friday to get my last clinical set up. All of the other Sites that you mentioned are booked up for the following year. I just did not know to notify so early. Thank you!
