Hi! I work in close proximity to a chiro that just published a brochure that indicated that he has a certificate in physical therapy from his chiropractic school. I've contacted the chiro board and PT board in my state, and they've indicated such a thing doesn't exist. The current law in my state is that chiros can't advertise PT services. Is there anyone out there who has dealt with this particular problem? Anyone who is aware of the existence of a certificate in PT, freely given to chiros? I am reluctant to confront this chiro directly, without having some idea of what the repurcussions may be. However, I think that this is very misleading to the public, and that I cannot in good conscience, let the chiro continue to falsely advertise services. Any thoughts?

I agree with SJBird5. This is definitely new to me and I also never heard of such a degree given to chiropractors. This should be delegated to the proper authorities in that state and also to the APTA. I'm not sure about going there yourself and see what you are billed, unless there is a problem that needs to be addressed. But if you can find out someone you know who goes there, perhaps they can let the proper authorities know what he/she was billed for. I hope this is not a new trend in the chiropractic field.
