I have a 38 y.o ms patient to evaluate who is insisting she get a CPM machine to help with her LE stiffness. I have not done the eval yet, but already, the message I am getting from my boss is that I am supposed to go out to this patient's home and tell her that is absurd. Hmmmm, is it? I tried a quick search in PUbMed trying to see if any studies had been done and didn't find much? Anyone have any knowledge of a CPM used for a neuro patient on an ongoing basis or any studies someone could point me to? Certainly I'll have a better idea of the feasibility once I actually evaluate the patient, but would like to know if anyone else has any experience with this.
