Does anybody visit that site.It is like the hate physio site from hell. There are a bunch of maniacs who seem to spend all their time lambasting physiotherapy and physios.I note that Dr Ball tries to reason with these oddballs.
I just hope the general public who may visit there can see through the madness of the comments from these characters. They seem to be a pack of three or four chiropractors who derive great pleasure from crudely denegrating PT . There is one who seems more intelligent than the rest and who in many instances subliminally denigrates the profession and then the others follow suit.
I assume there is nothing one can do about this outrage as freedom of speech is a value, but boy do these characters sound hollow.

That site is garbage. The one that bashes PT the most is just some old crackpot chiro from the UK that does it for kicks. I used to argue with him, but realized it wasnt worth it.

I don't really think that the guy is all that intelligent. He spouts a lot of garbage and is a bit funny at times. A rapier wit you might say, but I think that either he is mostly joking or else he has an inferiority complex and tries to build himself up in his tiny mind by bashing all things not chiropractic.

Funny, that you talk about yourself in the third person, fishing for compliments Doc?

Glasgow, I'm not trying to fuel the fire, but I've seen my share of anti-chiropractic threads/posts on this site. Sometimes when one feels attacked, they attack back. I think there are good and bad apples in both professions.

Despite what some of you may have heard, I've never started a fight over there --- but I have ended a few.

It's getting old, redundant, and boring.

I'm getting tired of defending physical therapy alone over there. The guys I end up sparring with over there are so brainwashed into chiropractic that they can't see straight. They attack PT, never admit their wrong, and claim "victory" after being beaten to an evidene-based intellectual pulp. Except for the concern that the site is linked to the ACA and Dynamic Chiropractic, it's pretty much pointless to post there.

Hello All

Got bored with chiroweb and thought I would check this "rehabedge" thing out.

Looks like Doc gets picked on here as well. Sorry Doc.

It does seem however more professional in character.

I'd have to disagree, Drew. I've seen more than a few post by you with the intentions of starting an argument.

Dont get me wrong, much of what you say there I would agree with, but to play the innocent one...

For instance:

Topic: CCSP online . . . Cheap and Quick
Topic: Chiropractic for Burning Feet?!?!?!

That is just the threads you started over the past year.

I disagree.Dr Ball has made every effort using evidence based information to quench this tide of vitriol towrds PT.He has countered every attack both clinically and personally with dignity and sound detail. He has patently put himself foreward as a lone spokesperson for the profession and as such suffered the ridicule of many of the Dr's on that site.I can only say it is a great shame that little support for his efforts has been seen from posters on this forum.I would say keep up the good work Dr Ball(may I call you Drew)and eventually those crackpots will run out of steam under the pressure of your tenacity.

Tom,thank you for your comment.I note your attempt at levity. The substantive issue remains un-addressed.More support for the profession would not be unwelcome. This one individual(Dr Ball) stands as a lone voice against what is a cynical attack on the profession in an essentially public forum.I hope you no longer find this amusing.Again thank you for your comment.

Primarily the actions of one character, JAGR, has done more to negatively impact all of chiropractic than 3 DOC's. Doc is truly an interesting person, but he uses negativity to rally the troops. I am not sure if he really believes anything he spews out. He primarily enjoys "stiring the pot".
The Jagr character is actually disturbed and isn't even a DC. He is agressive and insulting. My guess is that he is a college student or a high school student.

THe website certainly has taken a spiral downward recently.

I agree Wags- Jagr is profoundly "disturbed". He also seems to post 24hrs/day. What is truly sad, is that he has infected the entire board. Those making valuable posts, have their posts buried in his garbage. Jagr has essentially taken over. He is involved(directly or indirectly) with 90% of the posting there. I have sent several complaints to the "moderator" and haven't even gotten a reply. There is NO moderator there. I am considering trying to find a "higher up" to address this.

BTW- the problem has been addressed on the DC forum. Because of no moderation, and Jagr's appetite for hostility, the docs have generally decided the only recourse is to stay away. What a shame.

Glasgow, Doc, whoever you are, why are you on a PT site asking PTs to go to a chiro site to waste time arguing with complete nutbars? (I can only guess it would be for your own personal amusement.)
