Drew and Group:
Recently I was asked for resources by a friend of mine. And since I know nothing about Peds.....I am coming to you guys.
My friend recently gave birth to twins prematurely. One of them, in particular, is somewhat delayed, and is at risk. He has mild tone for now and he may end up dx with CP but it is to early to tell now.
My friend would like reasource books and information that may be helpful for her. In particular she is interested in exercises and things she can do with her child to help with motor control and in keeping range of motion because of the tone (if this is possible?).
Any ideas are appreciated.

Mcap,
It really depends greatly upon what your friend is ready to hear right now, and what kind of information she's looking for.
Some of the most helpful, but highly technical books include:
Handling the Young Cereral Palsied Child at Home, by Nancie R. Finnie
Motor Development in the First Year of Life, Lois Bly
Parenting the Young Child with Cerebral Palsy at Home
Touchpoints is also a great book, but that's a who different perspective on kids with special needs.
Call me if you'd like to discuss this.
