I am looking for an article that shows that a positive contralateral SLR has a 90% correlation for discogenic problems in the low back. Anybody know the citation for this?

This article:
LOW BACK PAIN ON PASSIVE STRAIGHT LEG RAISING: THE ANTERIOR THECA AS A SOURCE OF PAIN. Spine, Vol. 30, No. 3, February 2005
Has good information, and the source list at the end may provide you with a more focal article.
Best,

I'm almost positive the article you are talking about is by Deyo, from 1992, titled something along the lines of "What can the physical examination tell us about back pain?" Ah, I guess I can look it up...
Deyo RA, Rainville J, Kent DL. What can the history and physical examination tell us about low back pain? JAMA. 1992 Aug 12;268(6):760-5
There you go. An excellent article all around. If I were teaching in a DPT differential diagnosis class, this article would be at the top in any spine class.
