As forwarded on the MDT message posting system, I thought this was quite an eye opener for those looking for evidence based practice spilling into increased pay for treatment:

"It is now offical! As a result of collecting outcomes using FOTO and
four years of work, my company has been selected by BCBSNC for
increased reimbursement and a pilot study over the next year. If the
outcomes continue as they have so far there looks to be an
opportunity to include addtional MDT providers and clinics in North
Carolina. So, I can't recommend collecting outcomes enough as this
will be one criterion for inclusion in the project with BCBSNC and
ultimately all insurance companies."

Your thoughts on this process and are there any of you guys/gals who are planning/or already utilizing FOTO to help increase re-imbursement?

I'm pretty intrigued by this and I'm wondering how wide-spread this practice is already...

Interesting post rv, I am interested in it as well. I have heard of foto, but yours is the first testimonial I have heard.

Are you using outcomes tracking on all patient types? or just private ins?
