Hey Moderators,
Please do away with the obnoxious survey every time I click a button.  Get the survey monkey off our backs please.  Im pretty sure I speak for everyone who is getting this popup every time they navigate.  Please, those of you who love doing surveys, and also love not being able to get to the page you are looking for without first closing the survey monkey page repeatedly, correct me if you simply love this feature.

It popped up for me at both the computers I use to read this forum.  You can either complete the survey or click on the top right wich says something to the effect of "skip this survey"; and either will d/c the pop ups.

Hey guys, pay it forward, speak to the Monkey.  The survey is just 9 questions and you can win a $100 Visa gift card for donating 2-3 minutes of your time to us.  Thank you to those of you who already reached out to the Monkey.

Jason is right, if you want him to go away, just click the Exit this survey link.

If you feel left out because the Monkey hasn't visited you, you can find him here:

Thanks,

Dave

I finished the survey, but the monkey continues to taunt me.  I am just glad he hasnt thrown any bodily fluids at me yet.  Exit this survey link works for that page, but when you click on another rehabedge link, its survey time again, unless you finish the survey, then you are taken to surveymonkey.com, where you are asked if you want to become a member of survey monkey.  I hold strong to my opinion that the simian is obnoxious.  But you know what they say about opinions.......and if you dont know, the saying goes "Opinions are like (term for terminal end of rectum), everyone has one."

Sure, you COULD win a $100 dollar gift card........and survey monkeys might fly out of my (term for terminal end of rectum again).  But at least they have your email now to send you loads of spam.  Yahooooo!!!

Rant over.

Hi Shill,

Our settings are supposed to put the Monkey down if you complete or click the Exit button.  You could try turning on your pop-up blocker.  The survey is internal, so we will only use that email to contact the winner once we randomly choose one.  There will be NO spamming of any kind.  If the winner lets us, we'll announce who they are in the Forum.  Our target date for choosing a winner is October 31, 2010.  Just kidding.  It's 10/31/07.

Thanks again to those who answered the survey  - and good luck!

Dave

Poor Shill..  I generally never get pop ups.  They irritate the crap out of me.  You can block them, ya know?  All the emails from RE never get read by me either - they get spammed.  I like Norton.  :)

David,
Thank you for your explanation, as you didnt have to respond, but you did, showing that you are a man of integrity and class.  I realize you have a business to run, and I am sorry you had to put up with my monkey business.  I am appreciative that you did not go ape.  I think it is the subliminal desire to eat a banana that is getting to me.

I guess I am not "in the norm", not "browser savvy", not "hacker-safe", not "pop up free", not " other than microsoft aware".   (Farley did it so much better). Sounds like I should try firefox.  Any disadvantages?

"Any disadvantages?"

Yes, you get all the good features months before Microsoft can rip them off and put them in IE!

Well I just switched to Firefox and it was really easy and I would not consider myself particularly computer literate--thanks for the tip.

To those who haven't already entered, you still have a chance to win a $100 gift card if you complete our therapist survey by October 31.

You will need to click on the link:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=YYjZLyV9ZiJ_2bxY8K_2b9L8Zg_3d_3d to complete it.  We turned off the pop-up function.

Thanks again for your time.

Dave
