Would you consider giving immediate ambulatory exercise to a 70 y/o THR patient 1 day post op? If so, what specific exercises can you recommend.

Wouldn't it depend on whether the THR is cemented or uncemented, and which approach the surgeon used?? In Australia, each surgeon has their own preferences for rehabilitation... I always believe it is best to consult the surgeon.

Hello,
I totally agree with Henry 100%. You must consult the surgeon for the weight bearing status and other protocols before attempting to do anything 1 day post-op.
