I'm taking the NPTE this Thursday. I have been studing just about everyday the past month and a half. I have taken the PEAT twice and have scored 141 twice. All three Osullivan exams with 135,134, 131. I have taken all giles exams with 147, 153, 151. I feel confident but I'm wondering if I'm right on the edge?

you'll be fine, sleep well before, eat a good breakfast, get there early, wear comfortable clothes, and try not to go back to any questions you answer first time around

Just took the NPTE, it was very long and arduous. I left having a sick feeling in my stomach. I'm wondering how long the process of grading is and who would have the pass.fail info first?

You have the same feeling that I had when I took the exam in 1993. I took it in early november (pen and paper) and found out on Christmas Eve - good for me because I passed but bad for those that failed.

At that time it was not really a test you could study for as you either knew the material or you didn't - I am sure you did fine.

You should find out sooner than I did since it is computer based now.

Go and have a beer or two and relax - you cant worry about it now

I took the exam in August--left "knowing" I failed it. I found out 3 days later (via my state's licensing website) that I passed with flying colors.

As long as you are prepared, go in confident and make sure you thoroughly read the questions before answering. I would have missed a lot if I would have answered the questions according to my first reading of them.

Good luck.

I heard from many, that you could find out the same day. They went to the www.fsbpt.net site and logged on and somewhere in there, they were able to see if they passed or not. I never knew this. For me, I looked at my state professions website in a week and saw my name listed. Two business days later, I got the big envelope with my license and registration.

Hi jma, when I was a PT student (so so long ago, lol) I think I say you posting on a different board. Thanks for the fsbpt info, I can't log into it for some reason. My exam status still says "test date 2/15/06"

Hopefully you will be able to log on and see if there is a change in status or something to that effect. This is based from memory from other postings on what they did to check. Otherwise you can wait it out. I did post info on another board a while back. Hope it helped.

Wow that was quick - chalk another one up to the advances of the computer age - no more having to wait a month and a half to get results (I am dating myself now).

Nice job - as a student/intern you worked for free - now enjoy the paycheck.
