It's Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Try this spelling in your MEDLINE search at [URL=http://www.medportal.com]www.medportal.com[/URL] and let us know what you find.
Here's a hint though --- it's a peripheral neuropathy that more commonly strikes women than men. BED NUMBER ONE, is a book about a woman with GBS, and should be required reading of all heatlhcare professionals.
